Most of our customers will save at least 80% off their power bill by installing solar throughout the year. Our team will be able to work with you to find out the savings potential for your home.
A typical residential solar install without a battery costs around $12,000
With a battery it’s usually around $20,000
You may need more or less solar or battery storage, depending on your power usage
Depending on where you live, your solar panels may need to be cleaned once a year with water and a soft brush and avoid using chemicals. It’s easy to do! We can also recommend people who can do it for you for a reasonable price. It’s often best to get it done at the same time as you get your house washed.
A battery is worthwhile if you want to have power during a power cut or if you want to increase your self-sustainability by storing any excess power that you don’t use during the day to use at night. However, you don’t have to get a battery and you will still save a significant amount without one.
Yes! We often see returns which are upwards of 15%.
The returns from solar is better than leaving your money in the bank, and has a better return than most managed funds.
We can install solar on most roofs in New Zealand including corrugated steel, concrete tile, bitumen, asphalt shingle and membrane but get in touch if you are unsure and we can tell you for sure.
Yes! We offer QCard as well as our partnership with all major banks and SEANZ to offer Green Energy Loans. Get in touch to find out how to get solar installed with no interest for 5 years!
With a solar only system it’s usually around 5 years.
If you include a battery it may take a little longer, around 7-10 years.
In most cases no new penetrations are made to a new roof, except for a small hole for the cable entry which is sealed using the same method which plumbers use to bring their pipes out of your roof, with a roof penetration seal and appropriate sealant. We except our work to last for the life of the system (over 20 years) and we offer a 10 year workmanship warranty.
Roof manufacturers will still honour their warranty with a solar installation, provided it is installed to the manufacturer instructions. Depending on which roof you have, you can contact the manufacturer or usually find a document on their website with this information.
